Essentialism...Minimalism 😛

Hey Guys..It's the month of Ramzan. I decided to clean my space and organise my wardrobe. Guess what I realised? I have an overflowing pile of clothes. We have 2 big wardrobes each having 4 shelves. My wardrobe was overflowing and I captured 2 more shelves in my husbands wardrobe😛. Main reason was my wedding during which I went on a shopping spree for no reason. One more thing is my recent trip to Bangalore where I went to Commercial Street and turned crazy seeing the deals and grabbed everything possible. Winter collection was on offer and I got lot of hoodies and now I realise I dint need them because I live in tirchy. I wear only top and a track pant most of the time in this covid era.  Besides these things reliance trends keeps bombarding me with multiple coupons which tempt me to visit the store repeatedly. I think Im saving 500rs on purchase of 1500 but the truth is Im spending 1000rs. After a sad realisation of my activity I searched about my behaviour and realised a f...

Technology and Metaverse👽

Kids these days are found glued to their phones. Well when I think about it so are we most of the time. With the amount of people in IT industry and usage of watsapp to send info, office calls and stuff we use it more than ever. When it comes to kids they have online zoom classes and school watsapp groups which makes their usage a lot worse. All my young cousins are found with mobile phones. They play games on phones, talk to friends on phones than in person, keep clicking pictures and post them in Instagram and talk about the comments they received and likes as well. Sometimes we can see these as fun but eventually the toll these things take on mental health is huge. I have seen people who take lot of time to edit their picture to find a perfect one before posting it online. There's nothing wrong with wanting to look good in a picture but the problem arises when we start hating on our looks and feel we aren't perfect enough and develop that inferiority complex....

Handling emotions

Sometimes people have a tough time handling their emotions. It comes from a certain point where you expect something to happen a certain away and it doesn't happen and that shit affects you and makes you sad. Sometimes we don't really tell the people who hurt us, the reason your hurt and try to hide it within yourself think it's going to complicate things for you but the truth is the opposite. Well still we might have second thoughts about confronting the person but I think we need to say it out or in worst case when you think its highly impossible to speak out you can ignore because its good for both.  When we are sad or angry or upset we actually don't realise what we speak and end up blabbering things which I think I do and when I look back at those things I said I know that I blabbered. So its better to stay quiet when your feeling too emotional and calm yourself down before going out there to speak your heart out.  Need to remember a few things here. It's good ...

Getting back on track 💃

Human brains are wired to be lazy. We are created in such a way that we always try to save energy by choosing the easiest path or do work which requires less energy. We procrastinate the rest. Sometimes we feel immensely motivated when we think of a task for example eating healthy or hitting the gym or preparing for interviews or exams. But halfway we loose motivation and start thinking why did we choose to do this in the first place. The main reason is burn out. Though motivation can help us start something it can't keep us on track and we often tend to loose track. Here are few ways to overcome this burn out.  1) Start small : If you want to start working out start by splitting the routine into morning and night for 5 mins in each routine and you can gradually expand this. But most of us tend to do it for 30 mins - 45 mins per day and get body aches and quit in few days.  2) Make it easy:   This to simplify our task. For example if u want to work out in the mornin...

Stuff To Do When Ur Bored

There are times when we feel like doing practically nothing because we are too tired or lazy to do anything. Here’s things u can do when u don’t want to do anything.   1)  Sleep. Yes u can better sleep when u have practically nothing to do because we don’t sleep often  as  we are busy with lot of things to do. Now is kind of the best time to sleep. 2)  Don’t binge on youtube because it drains  ones  will to do anything in life .   U  can go find a ball to play in ur house and try balancing it on ur finger instead😝. 3)  Type something on ur laptop. I actually typed this blog when I fel t  bored. 4)  Clean ur mailbox and other notifications on ur system and phone. 5)  Find passwords of all ur accounts on all sites and note them down so that u don’t forget or suffer while trying to open it. 6)  Update ur linked in profile and ur resume. Its one way of tricking ur brain to feel ur doing something productive while not doi...

Wedding❤️‍🔥

July 25th was the day I got married. Its been around two weeks now. In my imagination I used to always think that I will live in my in laws place lik I used to live in hostel with warden as my in law 😂🙈  and escape home during weekends. Well seeing these hindi series during lockdown kind off contributed to this imagination where the girl enjoys before wedding and after wedding there are vamps who trouble her 😝😝 .  My story is nothing lik this. Around 4pm on 25th eve time was up and I was abt to leave the wedding hall to go to trichy to my in laws place. I told my family already not to cry when I leave. My mama replied you are going to such a good family and have such a cool mom in law so we are not going to cry 😁 . I was excited and happy for some reason and dint cry one bit and we set off to trichy. I got to hear family stories on my way which was fun. We reached trichy around 9:30pm I guess and everyone welcomed me there and there where few rituals which went on till 12...

Getting Engaged💍

We'll adding on the amount of uncertainties in life one more thing happened. I got engaged. Yes I know its crazy and hard to believe this for me as well. I actually wanted to settle down in my career and then get married but as we all know what Indian parents feel (I'll get white hair when I turn 25😂) so they wanted me to marry soon. All this started after my cousin got married in December. My parents told me its hard to find a match that suits you so we will take more than a year to find you a perfect guy(A lie as u know😛😜). I met my fiancé sometime around in march end. It was a formal meeting at my place and my family exchanged few question with theirs. Our families liked each other and we departed. We took our time to move things forward because of Lockdown, Ramzan and Covid issue as you guys know. My parents actually dint see any guy after that and I also thought I escaped🙈 for a while because of the tension going on but something said that meeting with his will continu...
