Getting back on track 💃

Human brains are wired to be lazy. We are created in such a way that we always try to save energy by choosing the easiest path or do work which requires less energy. We procrastinate the rest. Sometimes we feel immensely motivated when we think of a task for example eating healthy or hitting the gym or preparing for interviews or exams. But halfway we loose motivation and start thinking why did we choose to do this in the first place. The main reason is burn out. Though motivation can help us start something it can't keep us on track and we often tend to loose track. Here are few ways to overcome this burn out.

1) Start small: If you want to start working out start by splitting the routine into morning and night for 5 mins in each routine and you can gradually expand this. But most of us tend to do it for 30 mins - 45 mins per day and get body aches and quit in few days.

2) Make it easy:  This to simplify our task. For example if u want to work out in the morning then set a time, keep ur clothes ready prev night. If u want to eat something healthy plan prior on buying groceries and if ur taking sprouts soak them the prev night to make it ready in the morning. If you have an exam to prep then take sometime to sort out the materials and question papers earlier so that when u actually plan on studying u can get to that task immediately instead of doing everything at once.

3) Move on from failures: This is very imp because whenever we start doing something we tend to imagine we will get the task done and be unprepared for failures. And if we encounter one we become deeply sad and disturbed and quit. I know failures hurt but we have to be often prepared for failures before handed.

Failures can be simple like you not getting up to workout in the morning or little tough lik failing in a job interview. Either of the situation results in quitting the task. Instead we should continue working out the next morning or learn from mistake and apply for the next interview. I know its easier said than done but to keep moving forward we have to do it.

We can get back on track if we try the things mentioned above. If u still don't feel lik doing it you probably need a break to relax urself and refresh. Thank for reading this blog. bye😀

Assumptions about married women

That's me. And I prefer doing whatever I like be it going on trips or hitting the gym or doing my office work or cooking. 1.  Cooking  -  Assumption that women must cook despite having busy careers. Dont get me wrong. Infact, I love trying out new dishes occasionally. But the phone call I had received from my relative the other day made me question this. They were constantly interested in what Im cooking or if I learnt to cook the dal gravy. I faced a similar incident at the gym. Our trainer asked me to cook more protein rich food for my husband and feed him regularly. Though meant in a humorous way, the underlying meaning kind of made me feel sad. The fact that nobody would say this to a husband made me question. Cooking is a life skill. It is a choice. We can always hire someone. We might develop interest in cooking once we start living on our own. We must also stop judging someone for their food choices. When I say I make protein pancakes or wheat semiya or masala oats...

I switched my work organization😉

First of all thank you for coming here to read my blogs. I haven't posted for a long time now and believe I will be more consistent going forward.  I joined a new organization 2 days back and it feels like the best decision I have taken in a while. I believe we must all keep looking for growth in all aspects of life. Be it career or health or emotional growth. Sometimes you get stuck in a loop of doing things and no matter how much you work hard you are never appreciated or more problems arise. A similar situation happened to me in life where I felt no amount of work is getting me out of this loop.  I had some really crappy work surrounded by tough people to handle. When I decided to switch my job for monetary and other reasons it was very hard to get any interview calls.  The key here is to keep believing. I never believed because market is bad and stuff but my husband kept constantly applying to jobs on my behalf. I had some mental breakdowns due to the work wherein I h...

Consumerism - Minimalism (Part - 2)

Well let's first understand this term consumerism. It means encouraging the consumption of goods and services as a never ending cycle. So in simple words we the people are consumers who will constantly be bombarded with ads promoting that we need certain things to increase our standard of living.  What's wrong in increasing the standard of living? Let's be honest there's nothing wrong. It is good to get stuff that ease our lives like mixer and grind instead of the old ways of grinding spices, television for entertainment, mobile phone for communication, vehicle for travelling. So where does the problem arise? It arrises when we start buying more stuff than we actually need just because we saw a ad saying the existing one is not good. We will always find something better coming up in the market each day. It has become a way of life.  Most of the time the products are purposefully made so fragile that we end up replacing them. Eg: The glass back on mobile phones are goo...
