Cousins homecoming💕💓

Well past few weeks were tough for me and my family because we lost a dear member( mom’s brother) to covid. It is hard to digest that he doesn’t exist on this planet but still we need to accept and move on and we are constantly trying it. One thing we understood is no matter how big your sorrow is standing together and sharing ur pain can actually lighten it.

Here's what happened. The place where my mom's sister stays kind of had few covid cases so she decided to send her kids to our place to stay with us until situation gets under control. We were actually freaked out after mama's death so we took covid test and thankfully got it negative. So a month back my aunts kids Azhar(12th grade) and Ashifa(9th grade) came home. In the beginning there was little confusion and trouble in adjusting but as days passed by we became comfortable. We stayed indoors and the only place we went was the terrace to play shuttle everyday and do some photo shoots. I had office work which actually helped me normalise life.

I realised how hard it must be for my mama's wife and her son so we did video calls to cheer them up and also talked to them on regular basis to make them feel we are there for them. I also visited them with mangoes because mangoes bring smile. Life is seriously unpredictable and if u guys know anybody close to you who lost someone try making them feel good. We should not talk with them about what happened instead talk something nice to make them feel strong and independent and that they can handle this situation and make them believe they can be happy again.

At my house we made healthy recipes everyday evening for snacks and played carrom in teams which was fun. We also had fights which was also fun because my dad came and narrated a story of his childhood when he used to play carrom with his cousins kids and during a fight one of his cousins jumped on the carrom board and broke it into pieces stating "Now nobody can play". Later all got beatings from their parents😂😂. Hearing this story we stopped our argument and started laughing. We watched cringe movies on K Tv and had fun commenting on it. Everyday night I watched a barbie movie😛(I still watch cartoons) with my sis and Ashifa and Azhar hates barbies so he just slept off. Last few days online classes started for Ashifa and we gave her company attending her classes with her. I had the same staffs when I was in school so it was nostalgic. I attended Tamil class and Science class. I’ll write about my school in a separate blog.

This is how photo shoots happened😂

Here's how we complained aunt that her kid is playing in the rain😂😂

Yesterday they went home and now our house kind off feels silent and we realised oh we miss them. Anyways its a lifetime memory😇. We  just need to hang in there and life will be better again. We also prayed everyday for all the souls lost to rest in peace and for the people suffering to get better.

Stop overthinking and Do it

Hello Everyone. We always wanted to grow up and become adults while we were kids but now everyday we wish we were back to being kids once again enjoying the simple life except preparing for exams and the homework;). The best part about being a kid is the energy each one of us spread literally lighting up the room as soon as we enter. We used to bring smile on everyone’s face.   Hopping around everywhere, sometimes falling down is also okay because I fell from the first floor of my grandma’s home when I tried to pick fruits from a tree. Don’t panic I survived :P. I know that was dangerous but it was a learning process which helped me calculate the distance of the tree next time. Somewhere as we grew older we tend to loose the amazing energy and courage we had as kids and are often thinking about others opinions about us and on the work we do.   We are scared and are often a pessimist even before starting the things we want to do.  So whatever you want to do just start and ...

Importance of having your own space

This is a taboo topic in India. I stayed with my parents till 12th grade. Then I moved to college for the next 4 years. Even while I was in college I wasn't practically alone because I had room mates and the same thing happened after I joined work as I stayed in working women's hostel. Then covid happened and I got married during covid and moved to his parents place. Our own space there was our room. Then 10 months later we shifted to Bangalore for study and work reasons and it was the first time in my life that I got an entire space to myself. My husband got his own space inside his college (A single room). While I stayed with my parents my job was to just take care of myself, eat and study. When I moved to hostel I had to tackle my laundry as well. Same happened in working women's hostel but extra responsibility was to pay my rent, tackle my finances and travel. Cooking became an extra part of our schedules wherein we make dishes occasionally. Each and every step of this ...

Uncertainity of Life

I’m fond of making plans everyday. Study plans, trip plans, outing plans with friends etc.. Few things happen the way I plan, few don’t. Last plan I made was a big one regarding how to settle down in life and what to do with my career. I made this plan after my plans of becoming a doctor went into drain because of few reasons and in 4 th  sem of clg I decided to prepare for placements. But my crazy brain came up with an idea. I dint go on to become a doctor because there was lot of money involved with the admission process because I got 10 marks less than the expected score so I was pissed of and was not willing to spend lakhs just because of few marks. One more reason is I dint want to spend soo much for UG. My brain decided to invest this money for my higher studies->MS abroad. I started preparing for GRE and TOEFL and cleared those exams. I applied to universities. I opted out of placements because I wanted to concentrate on these things. Everything was cool until something h...
