A page from history

You can see sadness dripping on my face from the picture. This story happened when my mom's brother got married. Let's get into detail about this. 5 days before the wedding, we went for shopping. I picked up a pretty dress and bought shoes which were pink in color with white stones and I loved it. A day before the wedding there was a small function and certain rituals and I had shoulder-length hair which looked cute on me. The very next day we had to reach the venue by 11am. Mom was busy and stayed at Grandma's place. I stayed with dad in our house and he took me to a barbers shop who cut my hair into what u see in the picture. As soon as I reached the wedding hall, everyone started saying your daughter had pretty hair why did u chop it off and that made me very sad. I ignored it as I was happy in my outfit and went to play with the kids in the wedding hall. I removed my shoes and hid it under a small table covered with a table cloth so that it remains safe. Then I played for an hour. It was time for family pictures. Mom called me and I told I'll wear my shoes and come.

As u guessed they went missing. I searched everywhere in the hall asked everyone but nobody saw it. Obviously, someone took it. I was so sad and refused to take a family photo and went to the corridor. As u know my sister followed me who was quite happy and made fun of me. That is when the photographer saw me and said "You and your sister wore twin dresses so let me take a picture". I refused but he forced us to give a pose. I was not in the mood and he took that picture. That's the end. Everyone laughed at me. My parents dint scold because I was already upset. The shoes are still missing.

If anybody finds them let me know

Stop overthinking and Do it

Hello Everyone. We always wanted to grow up and become adults while we were kids but now everyday we wish we were back to being kids once again enjoying the simple life except preparing for exams and the homework;). The best part about being a kid is the energy each one of us spread literally lighting up the room as soon as we enter. We used to bring smile on everyone’s face.   Hopping around everywhere, sometimes falling down is also okay because I fell from the first floor of my grandma’s home when I tried to pick fruits from a tree. Don’t panic I survived :P. I know that was dangerous but it was a learning process which helped me calculate the distance of the tree next time. Somewhere as we grew older we tend to loose the amazing energy and courage we had as kids and are often thinking about others opinions about us and on the work we do.   We are scared and are often a pessimist even before starting the things we want to do.  So whatever you want to do just start and ...

Assumptions about married women

That's me. And I prefer doing whatever I like be it going on trips or hitting the gym or doing my office work or cooking. 1.  Cooking  -  Assumption that women must cook despite having busy careers. Dont get me wrong. Infact, I love trying out new dishes occasionally. But the phone call I had received from my relative the other day made me question this. They were constantly interested in what Im cooking or if I learnt to cook the dal gravy. I faced a similar incident at the gym. Our trainer asked me to cook more protein rich food for my husband and feed him regularly. Though meant in a humorous way, the underlying meaning kind of made me feel sad. The fact that nobody would say this to a husband made me question. Cooking is a life skill. It is a choice. We can always hire someone. We might develop interest in cooking once we start living on our own. We must also stop judging someone for their food choices. When I say I make protein pancakes or wheat semiya or masala oats...

Judgy😒

In school me and my friends were fairly good in studies and used to wonder why others dint study well. We never wanted to know what made them that way but just used to think the only thing in a students life is to study and if the person doesn’t do it well he/she is practically doing nothing good.   Now when I interact with people I understand each one lives a different life and each one has different challenges to face. Few had family issues, few were in charge of cooking at home and taking care of siblings since their mom left to work, few spent their weekends doing lot of household work and spent remaining time studying, few came from other schools and found it hard to adjust, few were introverts so dint ask doubts in topics they dint understand, few were good in sports and had different talents.  We are often so quick to judge a person without knowing anything about them. Everyone has challenges to face in different forms in life. After knowing all of it as an adult I...
